This new homeowner recently noticed some leaking around his fireplace. Since he had recently purchased this home, he knew the roof was only about five years old. After careful inspection by one of our roofing specialists, it was determined that his chimney needed re-flashing and some decking needed replacing. It is not uncommon for flashing to wear out -- especially around chimneys, well before your shingles. This is why it is important to have your roof inspected for signs of wear or damage a few times a year. Small repairs may be necessary, but if left unattended, they can become much more costly. Oftentimes, homeowners are surprised to learn that repairs needed are covered by their insurance companies. We work with insurance companies on a regular basis, helping our customers save out of pocket expenses.
